Heart of Scars
Ian and Billy had been together forever, or at least as long as it mattered. Ian had generally been an unfaithful object of anyone’s affection—but not since he married Billy.

There was a bittersweet purity about Billy that made Ian want to protect him, even from himself. Billy was a sappy sentimentalist; he never forgot a birthday, anniversary, any special occasion, even making up “Days to Remember” milestone calendars for Ian so he wouldn’t either.

Ian didn’t deserve such loving loyalty, not for all that he had been in his past but Billy made him whole, made him new………made him clean again with his love.

They hadn’t been to Bareback Beach since that first night—no need, because they found their love in each other. But, tonight was heartbreakingly special in ways Billy would come to understand; memorable in ways that would hurt Billy forever.

It broke Ian’s heart to watch Billy running, laughing, frolicking at the ebb and flow of the surf with his carefree heart: too soon a heart of scars at Ian’s hand.  So it was here their love began and here it would end.

Ian was HIV Positive. Billy’s love wouldn’t save him…………….couldn’t save him.

Loving Lexi - Book Cover

Lexi Reliving my past. Confronting my mother. Finding my family.
The summer before my senior year is a roller coaster of emotions, but I make it. I come out on the other side, stronger and ready to face my last year of San Francisco State University, when life takes another direction. The rock I’ve come to count on disappears emotionally and leaves me reeling. Will we find our way, or will I be lost and alone again?
Derek Watching her pain. Lifting her up. Loving her strength.
The summer before my senior year is better than I could’ve imagined. Her strength knows no bounds and is truly inspiring to everyone around her. Then the phone call from my past comes and knocks me off my feet. Unable to look at her while dealing with this, I hide, like a coward. Will I get over this moment from my past, or will it drive a permanent wedge between us?

Loving Lexi - Full Wrap

“You don’t know how happy it makes me to leave here with no reason to look back. Knowing I left everything behind feels like I’ve lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders. I feel so much lighter, like I can breathe freely again. The clamp around my lungs is gone.”
In that moment, the joy on her face touches me in a way I can’t even explain, and I can’t help but pick her up and twirl her around, sharing in her excitement. I hope the expression on her face is here to stay. My stomach has been in knots for days wondering what she would have to deal with here, but this ending is more than I could’ve ever imagined.

Loving Lexi - Author Photo

Hi! I'm Lisa. I live in SUNNY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA with my wonderful husband and two teenage children. With two kids in high school and involved in activities both inside and outside of school, I have a lot to juggle. When home, I lock myself inside the office to write. I've always loved to write, but life always seemed to be too busy.
When inspiration finally hit, I made the most of the time hubby and kids were busy and published my first book in February 2014. I've published a total of 4 books in the past year and am hoping to bring you a few more before 2015 ends.

Author: Lisa Survillas
Date of Birth:  February 1976
Date of Interview:  June 2015
Place:  online
The Book:  Loving Lexi

Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
The good guy.  The one with the heart.  The same way I like them in real life.

What is your greatest fear?
Dying by drowning.

Who or what has been the greatest love of your life? Why, How?
The Greatest Love of my life has been my hubby.  I met him a week before my 17th birthday and went to school and told all my friends that I’d met the man I was going to marry.  He was 20 at the time.  It was only a few weeks before we started dating.  The rough patch of our relationship was early on when a friend’s sister was killed by a drunk driver and I struggled with the fact that he was getting ready to turn 21 and would be out with his friends drinking.  I lived in a home with an alcoholic and wasn’t interested in being around anyone drinking.  There were a few arguments and I was pretty sure he’d tell me I was nuts and leave.  But he didn’t.  After we got passed that, the rest was relatively easy.  We’ve been together since 1993, married in 1998, have two kids, and are still very much in love.  He is a wonderful man, great husband, and fabulous father.  I am one of the lucky ones.  (I think he’s pretty lucky too)

Which book have you read the most in your lifetime? Why?
Bridge to Terabithia was my favorite childhood book and I read it over and over because I loved the story of the purity of friendship.  As a teen The Grapes of Wrath was a favorite and was read many times after having to read it for Language Arts.  I’ve always been drawn to strong women characters and people who stand up for their beliefs.  I love the hope of reaching for your dreams.  As an adult, I have to say that Lacey Weatherford’s Chasing Nikki has had the most profound impact on me however, I’ve only read it once.  I’m not sure I could do it again.  I’ve never cried uglier than when reading that book.  I think the reason it resonates with me is that the characters felt so real to me and since I work with that age group, the tragedy felt all too real.

What quality do you most admire in a woman/man, lover/spouse or influencer/boss?
I don’t think these people share “the best qualities.”  In a boss/influencer, I think someone firm but fair is best.  They need to be objective and able to differentiate between personal and business.  As for just a regular man/woman, I guess it depends what role they are playing in your life.  As for lover/spouse, loyalty would be something to admire since it seems to be hard to find.  I think loyalty leads into supportiveness and confidence.  All together they make a killer combo.

What does your family/friends think about your career as a published author?
Honestly, my family and friends have been a huge support.  They talk to people about my books, buy them, post about them, and generally encourage me in a positive way.

Which book that you’ve written is your favorite?
Each book is different to me and I love them all for different reasons.  My favorite to write was Project Lexi because it’s the start of a big project and the characters spoke to me so clearly when writing.

Do you have any interesting quirks or rituals?
Quirks??? Well, I hate the movie theater because all I can focus on is the eating…digging through popcorn tubs, slurping drinks, chewing with open mouths, opening candy.  It seriously makes my skin crawl.

How can readers connect with you online?
On my author page on Facebook (www.facebook.com/authorlisasurvillas or twitter @LisaSurvillas or Instagram @authorlisasurvillas)

Can you tell us what is coming up next for you?
I am currently working on a novella for The Happy Endings Resort Series that will release at the end of September.  I’m hoping to finish the Lexi Series with book 3 in the fall, and hoping to finish The Finding Series.  I have a couple of stand alone’s in progress, but they are on the back burner while I finish these others.

Veronica Courtesan by Siobhan Daiko @FCourtesans ~ Book Tour and Rafflecopter #Giveaway

Veronica Courtesan
Siobhan Daiko
Set in Venice 16th Century.

Advisory: Seriously, sensuously erotic. 18+

Guest Post:

It’s a great honour for me to be your guest today. Thank you for having me, Muffy! I’d like to introduce you to Veronica, a high-class sex worker in 16th Century Venice. Known as courtesans, these ladies of the night were well-educated and highly sought-after. I came across them when I was researching my romantic historical novel Lady of Asolo. My fantastic editor, John Hudspith, suggested I play to my strengths which, for him, is the way I can convey gritty realism when writing sex scenes. So I decided to write a series about the most famous of these women, and Veronica is the first. She was married off young, as women were in those days, for financial reasons, but the union ended badly. To support herself, she learnt the tricks of the trade from her mother, who’d also been a cortigiana in her youth. Veronica was a talented poet and writer - able to maintain a balance between her sense of self-worth and the need to win and keep the support of men. Writing an erotic novella about a woman who practised ‘free love’ has been exciting. Veronica was promiscuous, yes, she had to be; how else to please the King of France but with the imaginative use of Murano glass? My second courtesan novella, Theodora, will be released in the autumn. The following excerpt takes place when Veronica has her first lesson in seduction.

I watch him watching us, imagining how he would take me.
I send him the message with my eyes.
This is who I am.
I am Veronica Franco.
I court the cultural elite for fame and fortune, giving my body to many.
And I’m good. So very good. After all, I was taught by my mother, and mother always knows best.
How else to please the future King of France than with the imaginative use of Murano glass? How else to fulfil the desires of all yet keep my sense of self-worth?
But when disaster strikes and my life begins to unravel, I’ll have to ask myself one question:
Is it too late to give my heart to just one man?

My eyes practically fall out of my head when Mamma reaches under the cushion and pulls out a loaf of bread shaped like a prick. ‘Lesson number one. You’ll need to take this into your mouth, all the way down to the back of your throat, without making any marks with your teeth. But first I must teach you how to touch a man so that his member swells to this size.’
‘You mean it isn’t always as big?’ I think of the bulging codpieces that poke out from between men’s legs.
‘Sometimes it’s as small as a mushroom. You’ll be surprised how quickly it can grow when you stroke it. Your movements should be slow and subtle. Don’t touch it straight away. Gently rest your hand on your patron’s leg, then brush your fingers on his cheek. Let your shawl slip down so that he can see your breasts. All these things you can do after you’ve entertained him.’
‘Entertained him?’
‘Most definitely. You’ll be an honoured courtesan. Highly sought after. There are only just over a hundred among the thousands of whores in Venice.’
‘So many?’
Mamma ignores my question. ‘When you are entertaining your patron by singing, playing the lute or spinet, or with witty conversation, you must flirt with him, entice him into your bed.’
‘Why do I have to take him in my mouth? I thought my figa was made for a man’s prick, not my mouth.’
‘All part of the seduction, cara. Men will stick their pricks in all our orifices, including our back passage. If you are really fortunate your patron might seek to give you pleasure too, by sucking your figa. Never, ever, ask him to do it, though. The initiative must come from him. There are men who enjoy the taste and smell of us.’ Apples and Musk. Of course.

Siobhan Daiko is an author of romantic historical fiction and a new series of erotic novellas featuring famous courtesans – strong women who held their own in a man’s world. A lover of all things Italian, Siobhan lives in the Veneto region of northern Italy with her husband and two cats. Young sexy woman shows a leg for business man at desk

I feel a hand in my hair, brushing a soft strand away and I roll into his touch, wanting more. "Joel?" I whisper with shut eyes and a smile. When did he get home? I feel coarse rough hands slide down my neck and my stomach tenses. Something feels off. Joel's hands are smooth. My eyes flash open, seeing an unfamiliar short chubby male figure looming over me. His breath smells like rancid milk. The room is dark from the sun setting and the lights off, but I can still make out enough features for a lineup.
His hands forcefully pin mine above my head, giving me no time to try and retrieve my gun across the room. I need to fight back. My eyes widen as my adrenaline kicks in.
"Where's the baby?"

Vaughn 1 by Jacintha Topaz My rating: 5 of 5 stars ~ Hot, Hella-Sexy and Imaginative!

Vaughn 1Vaughn 1 by Jacintha Topaz
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hot, Hella-Sexy and Imaginative!
I have rarely read Kinky Sci-Fi Gay/Trans Erotic Romance, so I do not consider myself an expert on the subject of content but I can comment on a number of other aspects about this book. I loved it! It was hot, sexy and creative. Ms Topaz inventive mind bridged the creative gap between imagination and anything-is-possible! With unexpected speed and agility, she whips, and I do mean whips, you into believing this world exists, as it certainly does for Vaughn and Lance. Her writing style is so compelling, so descriptive that I thought I was watching the two men and eavesdropping on their thoughts. This is face paced, sexy, ***HOT*** as Hell and I enjoyed MY ride as well as theirs. Bring on the next installment. I have never been more ready! WHEW!!
