Okay here we go, first guest post ever!
Actually first post whatsoever apart from the odd Facebook status and tweet.
First off, thank you for having me and I
hope you will follow me on my blog tour until the end of the week. Tomorrow I
will be at http://eroticaforall.co.uk/
so I hope you drop by to check out what else I have to say.
I started writing this book about five
years ago, so as you can imagine I’m pretty thrilled to finally see it out
there in the book world. And no, it didn’t take me five years to write it. I
wrote the first chapter five years ago and never touched it again until last
year when I finally got my head back into it, and decided to chase my dream of
becoming an author.
So, I guess you want to know a bit about
my new release huh?
Well, inside the cover of The Architect we follow Ruth, a broken,
independent, social loner, on her journey into a new world. A world filled with
lust, intrigue and sex. And yes, this is all down to Heath Berkley. The moment
he steps into Ruth’s life she suddenly becomes alive and starts to heal from
her past as they explore sides of intimacy that she has never experienced. But
with all highs comes a low, and that low is George Randall, the owner of a
fetish nightclub. After invading her privacy and finding Ruth’s email address
on the computer system George begins to pursue her. Flirting back with him and
arranging a date in an envious attack on Heath one night, her childish ways
soon come to bite her on the backside and fuel revenge when George and his true
identity are revealed.
Excerpt
Pushing open the glass door, I step into
a dark corridor and hear muffled music. Reaching the end of the walkway, I see
two women dressed in long leather dresses. They have short black spiky hair,
and are talking to who must be the receptionist. I stand behind them and wait.
The woman on the
left of the duo turns, gives me the once over, and smiles. “Here for the
dungeons?”
I swallow hard.
“No. I-I’m just here to watch.” As soon as I finish the sentence I know how it
must have sounded and cringe inside.
“Really? Well,
we’ll be there if you fancy it.” The woman winks, and her friend turns around
and smiles at me. Then they both thank the guy behind the desk and head through
the black swing doors to the left.
“Can I help?”
the guy asks, as I stand here gobsmacked at the proposition, and trying to
sneak a peek of what’s behind the dark doors.
Stepping
forward, I place my hands on the cream counter. “Yes. Umm...” I bite my lip,
not knowing what to say. “It’s my first time here, and I’m not sure what I’m
meant to do, really.”
He smiles and
lifts his pierced eyebrows at me. “That’s fine, I’ll talk you through it. But
first you will need to become a member. So can I have your name, please?”
“Yes, it’s
Ruth.”
“And your
surname?”
Grudgingly I
tell him, “Watson.”
He requests my
phone number, which I make up, and then my address, which I also make up. My
email and age I give truthfully.
“There we are.”
He clicks the computer mouse. “All done.”
I feel a little
guilty that I’ve just deceived him, but I reply with a chirpy thank you so he
won’t suspect.
“Oh.” He looks
curiously at his screen. “It says here you have already paid.”
I beam after a
few seconds. “It must have been the man I’m meeting here.”
He rubs his
chin. “Ah yes, I remember. Tall guy, well-spoken?”
The area between
my legs warms. “That’s him.”
“Okay.” He pulls
out a leaflet and turns it to favour me. “All areas are open to everybody.” He
points to them on the flier before continuing. “There is only one real rule,
and that is, no means no.”

A one night stand? Not if you arrange to
have another.
When Ruth Watson finally decides to
break her depressive state of singleness and get back out on the social scene,
the last thing she expects to happen is meet Mr Right and share a moment of
passion in the middle of the buzzing city… But she does.
After meeting Heath Berkley on her first
venture out after two years of hermit like existence, Ruth’s life suddenly
becomes exciting for the first time. As their meetings become more frequent,
and their love affair blossoms, a common interest between the pair is found.
Agreeing to explore their unveiled
kinkier sides while Heath is in town on business, Ruth finds herself rapidly
slipping under his spell and craving more of him.
But when their journey into the darker
side introduces them to George Randall, things take a sinister turn, and when
his true identity is revealed, Ruth has a hunger for revenge.
Knowing there is only one place she
wants to be, Ruth follows Heath’s disciplinary hand to the Highlands of
Scotland, in hope that his healing arms will squeeze the pain and devious
thoughts away. At least until she has to return to London.
