It has been a few weeks, and while I am still not feeling my best, I took an unexpected stab at today's Will Blog for Sex challenge: 100 word story about the photo below. I love this photo and while I selected it for the group, I had no idea at the time what I would write. I did not know until moments ago.

| The Journey’s End |
The room, dimly lit, grew darker while family surrounded
the bed. All the people she loved joined her.
She lay, small and frail as the scented lavender candle
burned filling the room with her favorite scent and cast an ethereal glow over
her face.
She looked radiantly young again. A hush fell as she fought
for breath to speak.
“You have enriched my life beyond measure. Do not miss
me. Know that I am with you in everything you love—the wind, the sea, your
children. And you are with me.”
With that, the shackles of her pain broke, and she was
free.
