Flash Fiction Friday ~ Stolen Valor

Our Will Blog for Sex Group congregates on Fridays around a photo prompt about which we each write a one hundred word flash. This is a delightfully sexy photo, but I drifted to the darkside today.

I hope you enjoy this wee story and if you do, please leave me a brief note in comments. Then have a bounce over to my prurient partners and see what they wrote for you today. You can find them on our group link or listed below like white lies.

Enjoy ~  ☼ o√ ¸.¨¯`*..*˜"*°

Stolen Valor
She was spectacular.

She took a final look at herself when she heard his knock at the door.

The fugitive thought crossed her mind, as if any reminder was needed to mark the significance of this day. No, she would never forget this day, had never forgiven herself the series of events her actions set in motion. And every anniversary since had been just as painful and unrelenting.

She was seduced by the money in a life that had once been hard.

She tried to wait.

But, there was no reason to stop now.

Her lips formed a smile beneath dead eyes.

  1. So sad. Beautiful use of words. I feel like I know her as the scene continues to play out in my head. Great flash, Muffy :-)

  2. Here's to another interesting take on the picture. This one, however, will need to be expanded, as it left me feeling curious about it.

  5. Full of emotion and self confusion and wonder. Asking the all to familiar what if questions of what she should do. I hope her plotting mind pans out and that she can escape this ordeal she has herself in. Great flash! <3

I was born when we kissed; I died when we parted. I lived in your embrace while we loved..........
