Flash Fiction Friday, Sept. 16, 2011 ~ The Lover’s Future

Thank you so much for all your kind wishes for a Happy Birthday yesterday.  I so appreciated the attention.  I am as old as I have ever been and as young as I will ever be, so I am enjoying it while I can) xo

A few of us Pupils of Prurient Pedagogy have teamed up for a friendly challenge each week. The objective is to write a 100-word piece on a single photo, this week selected by yours truly.  Joining me today are eleven fantastic authors, who have written their own interpretation of this single picture for Flash Fiction Friday: Bonni Sansom, Benjamin Russell, Katie Harper, Lisa Worrall, Lani RheaChris QuintonPatricia Logan, Betty Carlton, Monique Marie Author, Davee S Nielson,  Jp Archer,  Rhea Archer, Sara York, Chris Power and Gemma Parkes. Please click on the embedded link in their names and visit their Blogs to read very different Flash Fiction tales based on the same photo.
The Lover's Future
A Purity Cleanse in the Garden of the Valley of Atonement followed by Crossing the River of Hiddekel must be completed before their union could be graced. The High Royals finished the Cleanse and headed, hand in hand, to the banks of the River.

The fierce weather lent a foreboding violence to the River.  Unable to take anything, including garments, from the Garden, the High Couple faced the River hesitantly.
Pure in spirit, body and mind, the lovers walked faithfully into the River and proceeded East of the Garden of Eden from the Valley of Atonement to begin our future.

I was born when we kissed; I died when we parted. I lived in your embrace while we loved..........
