Hide'n Go Seek

The young lovers, returning to campus after spring break, decided to take a refreshing break from the long drive. They took a narrow road through a forested area to the familiar, secluded lake. It smelled invitingly clean, woody and musky. Doffing their clothes, they jumped in eagerly and joined in a kiss.

Darkness fell.

They emerged from the lake to find their belongings were gone. Naked, they froze and were met by men in camouflage with rifles.

“It’s your lucky day, kiddies; you gonna play a live video game………”

"WTF", Natalie screamed!

They shot her where she stood.

“Now, RUN!!!”

Tantalyzing Tuesday Teasers, November 26, 2013 ~ Dance Me Through Love

Tantalyzing Tuesday Teaser is upon us once more. It is a day I love to indulge myself with by writing my interpretation of a picture prompt of my own selection. Today, I have chosen a dance between lovers in a smoke filled, darkened Cantina drawn together by the rhythm of a sole guitar.

Dance Me Through Love

Seated at the bar in the smoke filled room, only her pale exotic profile and the flesh of her legs were visible in the darkness. The achingly soulful music from the lone guitar rose from the depths like a strengthening, mesmerizing blaze. She toyed with a dirty Martini while the alabaster cleavage of her breasts rose with her nervous breath.

She felt him behind her; he moved so close, she was warmed by his heat. She shifted, uneasily, and crossed her long legs at the knees, exposing more lace covered flesh. 

Tonight, unlike any other night, he lowered his open mouth to her neck and whispered above the guitar, “Dance me through love”. His soft, feathered breath sent flames down her body and threatened a seductive inferno.

She rose gracefully, exposing more of her thigh through the slit in her tight skirt. Floating on currents of magnetic surrender into his embrace, he held her fully, pressing his body into her eager curves. 

He slid his impatient fingertips under her arm, at the soft fullness of her breast, then down to the hot small of her back. He pulled her tight so she could feel his growing response to the fragrance of her hair.

“Yes…...........”  as she melted to his will.

Flash Fiction Friday, November 22, 2013 ~ Soul to Soul

Another Friday means another Flash Fiction Friday photograph common to all the participating authors and a mere 100 words to write an inspired flash. This photo stumped me, if not a few of the other authors. That can be a good thing because we have to stretch and in the end, it is always interesting to see how the photo spoke to the other writers.

Soul to Soul

He was a world renowned and wildly eccentric psychic. He had given her specific directives as he wanted a pure and uninfluenced reading.

She had removed all telltale evidence of her life and covered herself in a black floor length robe from the foyer, as instructed. She entered the candle lit room that smelled of Patchouli Oil and incense then sat on the cushions on the floor. The dark room hummed with a quiet undercurrent of sitar and chanting.

He entered, sat behind her in the darkness and placed his fingertips upon her temples.

“Murder will not bring you happiness, independence ……….nor freedom.”

Tantalyzing Tuesday Teaser, November 19, 2013 ~ Simon Estes Revisited

I am late getting my Tantalyzing Tuesday Teaser up. I am SO sorry. Our Tuesday challenge is for participating authors to select a photograph that moves them in some way to write a 200 word story. Sounds relatively easy, but it is not to which I can testify today.

Simon Estes Revisited

The orchestra was warming up as the wealthy patrons filed into the theatre and were settled. She wore a white spaghetti strapped gown with a cascading neckline to her abdomen which revealed her breath in the soft rise of her alabaster breasts. 

Her only adornment was a starkly white gardenia nestled in the curves of her auburn curls. The heavy floral fragrance announced her arrival. She glided elegantly to her aisle and relaxed, like a dove, into her center seat. She was alone.

The house lights dimmed; she glowed, demurely, in the white gown as if she were unmistakably the main attraction.

She stared as he walked onstage: a towering, self-assured black man, arms outstretched in leather to embrace the audience – to embrace her. His piercing gaze irresistibly locked onto her, in all her radiant purity. His eyes declared his hunger.

The opera house erupted in his full bass-baritone harmony. He sang to no one but her as she smiled. Each note he sang strummed every nerve in her very foundation.  His musical seduction began, and will end, in his outstretched arms. 

Her petals slowly filled with her eager response and unfolded their protection of her pearl as she answered his desire with a blush.

Flash Fiction Friday, November 15, 2013 ~ Musical Kiss

Flash Fiction Friday is a FAB-ulous day for you because we participating authors get to titillate your titilles, well, at least we think it is fabulous. As you know, a photo that is common to us all is used as the inspiration piece for us to write a 100 word short. It isn't as easy as it sounds to write a story that coveys time, purpose and passion in so few words. But, it is fun and it is a challenge.

Musical Kiss

She seemingly floated on stage with the ribbons and folds of her dress softly trailing behind her: a procession of silk, lace and hand-sewn pearls proclaiming her royalty.

No royalty she, just a woman whose passion connected her heart and soul to her fingertips. She sat elegantly and pulled the harp to her bosom, her very essence charged by the lovingly hand-carved harp. The magnetic contact produced a passionate stroke, a musical ascension of notes joined in a single embrace of full harmony.

She sent her musical kiss into the theatre to seduce her audience as she had been seduced decades earlier…

Tantalyzing Tuesday Teaser, November 12, 2013 ~ "On The Wire" by Robert W. Service

As I write this, it is Veteran's Day. It is a day of all importance as we honor our men, women and families that have served our Country honorably in wartime, peacetime ~ abroad and at home. We have always kept the home fires burning as we await your safe return into our arms.

In my family alone, we celebrate 11 generations of men, women and families that have fought for our Freedom and that of our Allies. And as we know, Freedom is not free. I chose to reprint today my Mother's favorite poet, Robert W. Service. His piece, On The Wire, depicts the price of Freedom too well.

O God, take the sun from the sky!

It's burning me, scorching me up.
God, can't You hear my cry?
'Water! A poor, little cup!'
It's laughing, the cursed sun!
See how it swells and swells
Fierce as a hundred hells!
God, will it never have done?
It's searing the flesh on my bones;
It's beating with hammers red
My eyeballs into my head;
It's parching my very moans.
See! It's the size of the sky,
And the sky is a torrent of fire,
Foaming on me as I lie
Here on the wire . . . the wire. . . .

Of the thousands that wheeze and hum
Heedlessly over my head,
Why can't a bullet come,
Pierce to my brain instead,
Blacken forever my brain,
Finish forever my pain?
Here in the hellish glare
Why must I suffer so?
Is it God doesn't care?
Is it God doesn't know?
Oh, to be killed outright,
Clean in the clash of the fight!
That is a golden death,
That is a boon; but this . . .
Drawing an anguished breath
Under a hot abyss,
Under a stooping sky
Of seething, sulphurous fire,
Scorching me up as I lie
Here on the wire . . . the wire. . . .

Hasten, O God, Thy night!
Hide from my eyes the sight
Of the body I stare and see
Shattered so hideously.
I can't believe that it's mine.
My body was white and sweet,
Flawless and fair and fine,
Shapely from head to feet;
Oh no, I can never be
The thing of horror I see
Under the rifle fire,
Trussed on the wire . . . the wire. . . .

Of night and of death I dream;
Night that will bring me peace,
Coolness and starry gleam,
Stillness and death's release:
Ages and ages have passed,--
Lo! it is night at last.
Night! but the guns roar out.
Night! but the hosts attack.
Red and yellow and black
Geysers of doom upspout.
Silver and green and red
Star-shells hover and spread.
Yonder off to the right
Fiercely kindles the fight;
Roaring near and more near,
Thundering now in my ear;
Close to me, close . . . Oh, hark!
Someone moans in the dark.
I hear, but I cannot see,
I hear as the rest retire,
Someone is caught like me,
Caught on the wire . . . the wire. . . .

Again the shuddering dawn,
Weird and wicked and wan;
Again, and I've not yet gone.
The man whom I heard is dead.
Now I can understand:
A bullet hole in his head,
A pistol gripped in his hand.
Well, he knew what to do,--
Yes, and now I know too. . . .

Hark the resentful guns!
Oh, how thankful am I
To think my beloved ones
Will never know how I die!
I've suffered more than my share;
I'm shattered beyond repair;
I've fought like a man the fight,
And now I demand the right
(God! how his fingers cling!)
To do without shame this thing.
Good! there's a bullet still;
Now I'm ready to fire;
Blame me, God, if You will,
Here on the wire . . . the wire. . . .

I selected this photo below of a 19th century period woman.  I have taken a bit of a liberty as my piece is a wee longer, but, please indulge me. I hope you enjoy it, and if you do, please leave me a comment. I am considering making it into a novella or a full length book.

The Para-Portage of Emily

The truth is that Emily had discovered the shadows created by light and dark.  Furthermore, she discovered she liked it there, too.  She had still been in control of her destiny then, but not anymore.  In fact, she became a prisoner of the shadow’s seduction…

The hours passed and Emily slept to the crackling sounds of the fire.  And then, she dreamed…

A young woman ran from a man pursuing her. He collected the young woman in his arms in the foyer of this house and they entered the library, in one another’s arms.  He took her to the couch, where Emily slept, and placed her down gently.  As the man indulged himself in the sweet specter of her breasts, his right hand dropped between the young woman’s legs and gently, inch by slow inch, raised her full hem and petticoats until he found the naked treasure he sought.

The room was nearly dark, save the floor lamp above Emily's waking head.  The fire embers glowed a vibrant red, hot orange-gold and burning blue-white-yellow against the black shadowed backdrop of the firewall.  She composed herself and straightened her clothes.  She allowed a lone hand to search between her legs for evidence of this consuming dream.  She had actually cum in her sleep, while immersed in the vivid vision.  She languished, rolled and stretched into the memory, holding onto the pleasant remains of the dream, smiling intimately to......…to herself and her shadow lover.  

It had felt so real to her; who was he?  

“And when will he return…?”

Today is Flash Fiction Friday. Our writer challenge is to take a photo, common to all the participating authors, and write a 100 word inspiration piece. Today's photo is of the awe inspiring Christopher Meloni, in the shower no less....and naked!! Who wouldn't be moved by that image??

Love's Revelry

My favorite time of a day has always been the early morning hours when I awaken to you in the shower. Hearing the water, I smiled into your pillow and inhaled the secrets we shared in our passion filled nights.

My revelry shattered slowly as I cried into reality. 

But how?  I smelled your lathered soap, your shampoo. My face buried in your pillow, I visualized your every morning movement: shaving, your routine of applying a manly deodorant followed by your private indulgence of rich facial cream, cologne then baby powder, humming quietly to yourself.

Today, the rain woke me……………….
